Schools of Nope 101: What They Are and How to Organize Locally

About this event

Schools of Hope graphic

This one-hour workshop in conjunction with Families for Strong Public Schools will be presented to League members across Florida, offering a powerful virtual training on Florida’s rapidly expanding Schools of Hope co-location and takeover scheme—and what communities can do to fight back.

What we’ll cover:

  • What Schools of Hope really are and how the new rule expands them
  • How co-location and takeovers impact students, funding, and local control
  • What letters of intent mean and what to watch for in your district
  • Organizing strategies to activate your community fast
  • How to use the Schools of Nope toolkit to educate, organize, and mobilize
  • Ways to plug into statewide efforts and connect with local advocates

Come ready to learn, ask questions, and build power together. Your community needs you—let’s get organized.
